Meet Our Staff

Christine Jontz-Barbour

Executive Director

Christine joined the Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce as Executive Director in November 2023, bringing a strong background in non-profit leadership, governance and community engagement, along with a genuine commitment to Salmon Arm and the Shuswap.

Having previously served as a Chamber board member, Christine brings both a business and community perspective to her role. She is passionate about creating opportunities for local businesses to connect, grow and have their voices heard, while strengthening partnerships throughout the region.

Beyond the Chamber, Christine is actively involved in community leadership. She serves as Vice President of the Shuswap Community Foundation and on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of British Columbia (CCEBC). Her past and ongoing volunteer involvement has also included Shuswap Minor Football and SD83 DPAC.

For Christine, community involvement extends well beyond the office. You’ll often find her supporting local businesses, attending community events, or cheering on her kids from the sidelines and at the dance studio.

Want to connect, collaborate or talk business? Email [email protected] — Christine is always happy to connect with members and community partners.
