Our History
For more than 115 years, the Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce has been the voice of business for our region. We have grown into a strong, committed, and vibrant business community.
Meet Our Staff
Christine Jontz-Barbour
Executive Director
In November 2023, Christine became the Executive Director of the Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce, bringing extensive experience and a deep connection to the community. Her career began with a national non-profit, and she has since served on various boards, including the Salmon Arm Chamber, Shuswap Minor Football, SD83 DPAC, and currently, the Shuswap Community Foundation.
Christine’s passion for community development shines in her advocacy for local businesses and her active involvement in community life. Whether supporting local shops or cheering on her kids at sports and dance, she embodies the spirit of Salmon Arm.

Our Board of Directors volunteer for a minimum one-year term and span a full range of industry sectors, providing our organization with some of the best platforms from which to advocate on behalf of the business community.
The Board is responsible for establishing the strategic priorities for the Chamber in accordance with our vision and mission statements and in compliance with our Chamber Bylaws and the Federal Board of Trade Act.
