Executive Director: Christine Jontz-Barbour

Before taking the reins as the Executive Director in November 2023, Christine immersed herself in a rich tapestry of professional and community engagement. Her journey traversed the landscape of a national non-profit, where she honed her skills and cultivated a deep understanding of organizational dynamics. Simultaneously, she extended her influence beyond the professional sphere, offering her time and expertise to several boards, including the esteemed Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce, Shuswap Minor Football, and SD83 DPAC.

Christine’s commitment to community development is not confined to her professional life alone; as a small business owner, she injects vitality into the local economy. Her passion unfolds as a vibrant advocacy for the growth and prosperity of businesses in Salmon Arm, where she stands as a beacon of support and a driving force for entrepreneurial success.

Away from the desk and boardrooms, Christine’s life echoes with a symphony of local engagement. Picture her navigating the aisles of local businesses, not just as a customer, but as a conscientious supporter, weaving the fabric of community through her commitment to shopping local. Beyond the storefronts, you’ll find her at the sports fields and dance studios, donning the hat of a spirited cheerleader, rallying behind her children with unwavering enthusiasm.

For those seeking to connect with Christine and tap into the wealth of experience and passion she brings, the pathway is as straightforward as an email. Drop a line to admin@sachamber.bc.ca, and open the door to a dialogue with a leader whose dedication goes beyond the confines of the office, and whose influence extends to the very heart of the community she serves. Christine is not just an Executive Director; she is a catalyst for growth, a champion for local businesses, and an ardent supporter of the vibrant tapestry that is Salmon Arm.
